Description:

Anar (Pomegranate) is a small, deciduous shrub or small tree that grows up to 5-10 meters tall, commonly found in the tropical and subtropical regions of India, Iran, Central Asia, and parts of Africa. The tree produces bright red, leathery fruits that contain numerous juicy seeds surrounded by sweet-tart pulp. Anar is widely known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties due to the high content of polyphenols like ellagic acid and tannins. The fruit is often consumed for its digestive benefits, as it promotes gut health by improving digestion, reducing bloating, and alleviating constipation. Pomegranate also helps reduce cholesterol levels, improve heart health, and lower blood pressure. It is traditionally used to treat skin conditions, anemia, and inflammation. Anar is considered a raspanchak, helping detoxify the body, balance Pitta, and Kapha doshas, and is beneficial for improving skin vitality and immune function.
