It produces small yellow-green flowers and is known for its fragrant sandalwood heartwood, which is used for medicinal purposes. Safeda is valued for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and cooling properties. The heartwood is commonly used in Ayurveda to treat skin infections, skin rashes, and eczema due to its antiseptic effects. Safeda is also used to treat stress, anxiety, and insomnia due to its calming and sedative properties. It has antioxidant properties, helping to reduce oxidative stress and prevent premature aging. Safeda helps balance Pitta dosha, promoting skin health, mental relaxation, and overall vitality.

Eucalyptus, or Eucalyptus globules, offers several therapeutic benefits. Its essential oil is known for treating respiratory issues like cold, cough, and sinusitis due to its expectorant properties. It acts as an effective antiseptic, aiding in the healing of cuts and wounds. Additionally, its anti-inflammatory effects help relieve muscle and joint pain, making it useful for conditions like rheumatism. The oil is also utilized in various topical applications, such as cold balms and muscle rubs.

Safeda, or white sandalwood, is prized for its cooling and soothing effects. It is widely used in skincare for conditions like acne, rashes, and pigmentation due to its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties. Safeda is also beneficial for calming the mind and reducing stress, making it useful for improving mood and mental clarity. It has a soothing effect on the nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety. In addition, sandalwood helps to maintain skin hydration and improves the overall appearance of the skin.

Medical Conditions(Avoid):

Safeda should be avoided in individuals with sensitive skin or those allergic to sandalwood, as it may cause irritation or rashes. Pregnant women should use Safeda cautiously, as there is insufficient evidence regarding its safety during pregnancy. Overuse may cause excessive cooling of the body and exacerbate conditions associated with coldness or dampness.
