Description:

Medasaka, scientifically known as Litsea glutinosa, is a member of the Lauraceae family. This tree is distributed across various countries, ranging from India to Australia, and typically grows at elevations of around 4,500 feet above sea level. It is recognized by several names in different languages: Maida lakdi in Sanskrit, maidasak in Punjabi, Kukurchite in Bengali, Meidalakavi in Tamil, and Meida in Telugu. Medasaka is valued for its medicinal properties, aiding in the treatment of fungal infections, regulating cholesterol levels, promoting digestive health, alleviating chronic cough, and addressing various vata-related ailments.

Benefits:

Muchkund (Pterospermum acerifolium) is valued in Ayurveda for its astringent, anti-inflammatory, and cooling properties. It is used in managing bleeding disorders, skin conditions, and to reduce Pitta-related inflammation. The bark and flowers support wound healing and detoxification.
