Sanskrit Name:Mañjīsthādi

Devanagari Name:मञ्जिष्ठदी

English Name: Manjisthadi

Description:

Manjisthadi Taila is a traditional Ayurvedic medicated oil known for its potent detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, and skin-healing properties. It is widely used for various skin disorders, including acne, pigmentation, eczema, psoriasis, and other inflammatory conditions. This oil is also beneficial in improving complexion, reducing blemishes, and promoting a healthy glow. Due to its blood-purifying nature, it helps in detoxifying the skin and balancing aggravated Pitta and Kapha doshas, which are often responsible for skin-related issues. Additionally, it is used in Ayurvedic therapies for conditions like varicose veins, non-healing wounds, and scalp disorders such as dandruff and hair fall.

The formulation of Manjisthadi Taila is based on the key herb Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia), which is renowned for its ability to purify the blood, reduce pigmentation, and promote skin health. Other essential ingredients include Haridra (Curcuma longa), Daruharidra (Berberis aristata), Neem (Azadirachta indica), and Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus), all of which contribute to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. The oil is prepared using a base of sesame oil, which allows deep penetration into the skin, nourishing the tissues and promoting faster healing.

For external application, Manjisthadi Taila should be gently massaged onto the affected area and left for at least 30 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water. Regular use can help reduce skin irritation, improve texture, and restore skin balance. It is generally safe for all skin types, but individuals with sensitive skin should perform a patch test before use. Consulting an Ayurvedic physician ensures optimal results based on individual skin conditions.
