Sanskrit Name:Dughdha

Devanagari Name:दुग्ध

English Name: Dugdha

Description:

Dugdha Vati is a traditional Ayurvedic formulation known for its effectiveness in managing liver disorders, ascites, anemia, and inflammatory conditions. It is a herbo-mineral medicine that plays a significant role in balancing the doshas, particularly Kapha and Pitta, thereby aiding in detoxification and metabolic regulation. The formulation contains powerful ingredients such as Vatsanabha (Aconitum ferox), which is known for its potent therapeutic effects when purified properly, Hingula (Cinnabar) with its detoxifying properties, and Dhatura Beeja (Datura metel), which is used for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory benefits. These ingredients are processed with Dhatura leaf juice to enhance their medicinal value and reduce toxicity. Dugdha Vati is primarily used for conditions like liver enlargement, fluid retention, and digestive disorders by improving liver function and reducing swelling. It also aids in stimulating digestion and alleviating symptoms associated with indigestion. Due to the presence of highly potent and potentially toxic ingredients, Dugdha Vati should only be taken under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner. The typical dosage varies based on the individual’s health condition but is usually recommended in small quantities, accompanied by suitable adjuvants like honey or warm water. Overdose or improper use can lead to serious side effects; therefore, professional guidance is essential before consuming this formulation.
