A condition marked by one or more of the following signs and symptoms: ringing in the ears (tinnitus); intense ear pain; earwax drying; thin, watery discharge; hearing loss; discomfort around the ears; intermittent bouts of pain; headache on one side of the head; ear stiffness; sensitivity to cold; prolonged suppuration; discharge of a small amount of clear fluid if infection occurs; and occasional sensations of ear blockage.
