Shleshmatak, scientifically known as Cordia dichotoma, is a member of the Boraginaceae family. True to its name, this herb is particularly effective in balancing the Kapha Dosha, making it a valuable Kaphakarak. It is primarily utilized for treating various ailments, including cough, asthma, skin disorders, fever, diarrhea, intestinal worms, and wounds or ulcers. This plant thrives abundantly throughout India, typically found at elevations up to 5000 feet and is especially prevalent in warmer regions.

Benefits:

Shleshmatak (Cordia dichotoma) is used in Ayurveda for treating respiratory disorders, wounds, and inflammatory conditions. It is especially effective in balancing Kapha, reducing mucus, and supporting healthy skin and digestion.
