In India, two varieties of this flower exist, referred to as dharu and alphajan in Hindi, while it is known as Arabic and French lavender in English. The flowers yield a fragrant oil that ranges in color from red to yellow. Ustukhuddus is a herbaceous shrub that typically reaches heights of 12 to 36 inches.

Benefits:

Ustukhuddus (Lavandula stoechas), or lavender, is used in Unani and integrative Ayurveda for calming the mind, improving sleep, and supporting respiratory health. It balances Vata and Pitta, relieves headaches, and is often used in aromatherapy.
