English Name: Anu

Description:

Anu Taila is a renowned Ayurvedic herbal oil primarily used for Nasya therapy, a treatment involving nasal administration of medicated oils. It is known for its effectiveness in promoting respiratory health, improving neurological function, and enhancing sensory organ performance. This oil is prepared using a blend of powerful herbs such as Jivanti, Devadaru (Himalayan Cedar), Yashtimadhu (Licorice), Shatavari, Bala, Daruharidra, and Tagara, infused in a base of sesame oil. These ingredients work synergistically to balance the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas.

Anu Taila is primarily used to cleanse and nourish the nasal passages, helping to alleviate sinus congestion, headaches, and respiratory issues like allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis. By clearing excess mucus and toxins, it supports free breathing and reduces inflammation in the nasal cavities. It is also believed to strengthen the brain and improve cognitive function, memory, and concentration. Regular use of Anu Taila can help in preventing conditions like migraines, frequent colds, and even premature graying of hair by improving overall head and neck health.

Traditionally, 2–6 drops of warm Anu Taila are instilled into each nostril in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach. Though considered safe, it should be used under expert guidance, especially for individuals with respiratory sensitivity, pregnancy, or acute nasal infections.
