A condition marked by one or more of the following signs and symptoms: unusual hearing; itching; persistent swelling; pale discharge; oily discharge; slight discomfort; a feeling of weight in the head; a sensation of heaviness in the neck area; pressure in the jaw region; slight pain; internal ear itching; swelling near the ear; a tendency to prefer warm items; and the release of thick white fluid similar to perichondritis if infection develops.
