A condition marked by some or all of the following signs and symptoms: significant swelling; firm swelling; pale in color; altered taste sensation; excessive salivation; sleep disturbances; nausea; reduced digestive fire; gradual onset and difficult resolution; pitting upon pressure that does not quickly return; more noticeable at night; itching sensations; pale hairs; hard swelling; cold to the touch; oily appearance; soft swelling; thick or dense swelling; no bleeding upon cutting; prolonged oozing of clear fluid after incision; urge to touch the affected area; craving for warmth; and slowly expanding.
