In Ayurveda, Kapas is used for its cooling, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. The cotton fibers are used to make soothing compresses for treating skin burns, abrasions, and wounds. Kapas also plays a role in improving digestive health, particularly in managing constipation and gas due to its fiber content, which helps promote regular bowel movement. The plant is used to treat heat-related conditions in the body, such as fever and skin irritation, due to its cooling effects. Kapas helps balance Pitta dosha, promoting hydration, skin health, mental relaxation, and overall well-being.
