Khubkala is widely recognized for its laxative, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is commonly used to treat constipation and digestive disorders by promoting bowel regularity and improving digestive fire (Agni). The leaves and pods of Khubkala are used as a natural laxative, which is highly effective in detoxifying the body and cleansing the digestive tract. Khubkala helps balance Vata and Kapha doshas, promoting digestive health, liver health, and overall vitality.

The key therapeutic benefits of Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris) include relief from throat irritation and dry cough, as recommended by the German Commission E. It serves as a central nervous system depressant, helping to alleviate anxiety and nervousness. The herb has antibacterial and antifungal properties due to its volatile oil and contains constituents like ephedrine and alkaloids. Additionally, topical application can relieve nervous disorders such as monoplegia, sciatica, and palsy, while its anti-asthmatic properties aid in bronchial and respiratory tract disorders.

Khubkala, or dodder, is used for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. It is often used in Ayurvedic medicine to treat conditions like urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney problems, and skin diseases. Khubkala helps reduce inflammation in the body and is useful for improving digestion and treating constipation. It has detoxifying properties, making it beneficial for cleansing the liver and kidneys. The herb also supports immune health by fighting infections and promoting the body’s natural defense mechanisms.

Medical Conditions(Avoid):

Khubkala should be avoided by pregnant women, as there is limited information on its safety during pregnancy. It may also cause gastrointestinal upset, including nausea and diarrhea, when consumed in excess. Individuals with allergies to plants in the Convolvulaceae family should avoid this herb.
