Description:

Kutaja (Holarrhena antidysenterica) is a smooth tree or sizable shrub native to the low-elevation deciduous forests of India. Its leaves are oval-shaped, measuring 10 cm in length and 4 to 10 cm in width, and are arranged oppositely in a reverse direction, giving them a membranous texture.

Benefits:

Kutaja (Holarrhena antidysenterica) is a classic anti-diarrheal herb that strengthens the digestive system. It is astringent, bitter, and useful in treating dysentery, IBS, and colitis. Kutaja bark is used to manage bleeding, inflammation, and chronic gut disorders. It balances Kapha and Pitta.
