Description:

Marigold, scientifically referred to as “Tagetes erecta” and commonly known as Genda, is a decorative plant widely appreciated in India. Originally from Mexico, this herb has made its way across the globe, including the African continent. Characterized by its vibrant orange color and pleasant fragrance, Marigold blooms during the winter months. It is valued for its numerous medicinal benefits, applicable both externally and internally. This flowering plant thrives in temperate climates, reaching heights of up to 70 cm.

Benefits:

Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis) is a demulcent herb that soothes mucous membranes and supports respiratory, digestive, and urinary health. Though not native to Ayurveda, its sweet and cooling qualities are ideal for calming Pitta and Vata. It helps with ulcers, sore throats, and dry coughs.

Medical Conditions(Relief):

Marigold (again) is beneficial for skin health and is used to treat skin conditions like eczema, acne, and psoriasis. It also has antimicrobial properties.
