Description:

Long pepper is a slender, aromatic climbing plant characterized by its creeping, jointed stems and fleshy fruits that grow in spikes. The leaves are dark green, ovate or heart-shaped, measuring about 2 to 3 inches in length, with a darker shade on the upper surface and a pale green underside. This plant exhibits monoecious flowers, meaning that male and female flowers are found on separate plants.
