Sanskrit Name:Trikatu Churna

Devanagari Name:त्रिकटु चूर्ण

English Name: Three-Spice Powder

Description:

The term “Trikatu” comes from Sanskrit, where “Tri” signifies three and “Katu” refers to hot and pungent herbs. Trikatu is a traditional herbal blend composed of three bitter herbs in equal proportions.

This formulation is created using the dried fruits of Piper nigrum (black pepper), Piper longum (long pepper), and dried Zingiber officinale (ginger).

Trikatu Churna is vital for balancing excess Kapha in both the respiratory and digestive systems. Additionally, it enhances the stomach’s production of digestive enzymes, aiding in food digestion and boosting appetite.

For optimal results, it is recommended to consume it with lukewarm water and honey. However, caution is advised as Trikatu Churna may exacerbate gastritis and lead to a burning sensation at higher doses due to its strong heat.
