Description:

Inula racemosa is a perennial herb that typically grows between 0.5 to 1.5 meters in height. Its stem is characterized by a grooved, rough texture and is covered in dense hair. The plant features large, elliptical leaves measuring 3-6 cm in length and 2-3 cm in width, supported by long petioles. The fruits are slender achenes, approximately 0.4 cm long, adorned with pappus hairs that extend to 0.75 cm. The flowers are vibrant yellow, clustered in heads that range from 0.5 to 1 cm in diameter. The fresh root has a dull brownish exterior, revealing a yellow interior that turns grayish upon drying. It emits a sweet, camphor-like aroma and possesses a bitter flavor.
