Description:

Malabar spinach, known as Upodika in Ayurveda, is a medicinal herb beneficial for treating various health conditions such as anemia, cough, dysentery, and diarrhea. It possesses numerous therapeutic properties, including anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, anti-ulcer, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-pruritic effects. In Ayurvedic practice, it can be utilized alone or in combination to address issues like intoxication (mada), insomnia (anidra), cracked feet (paadadari), fever (jvara), dysentery (pravaahikaa), hemorrhoids (arshas), urticaria (siatapitta), inflammation (varnasotha), tumors (arbuda), and bleeding disorders (raktapitta).

Benefits:

Upodika (Oldenlandia corymbosa) is known in Ayurveda for treating fevers, inflammation, and skin diseases. It has Pitta-pacifying and detoxifying properties, often used in managing liver and blood disorders.

Upodika is used to improve digestive health, treat constipation, and manage skin conditions. It is also beneficial for respiratory health.
